PS219 Community Based Integrated Approach for Managing Blood Pressure: Findings From a Five-Year Prospective Cohort Study in Urban Bangladesh
In Bangladesh, 32% women and 19% men age 35 and older has high blood pressure of which 45% women and 57% men are unaware of their elevated blood pressure. Moreover, a considerable proportion of population (11% women and 8% men) that are aware of their elevated blood pressure, are not under any treatment. A community based lifestyle modification based prospective cohort study “Non Communicable Diseases Program (NCDP)” was conducted in urban Bangladesh among patients with high blood pressure.
