PS226 Cost Analysis of Elective PCI and Clinical Outcomes: A Comparison of Six Tertiary Referral Centre in Malaysia

Cardiovascular disease remains an important cause of death, contributing to 20-25% of all mortality in public hospitals in Malaysia. In recent years, there has been considerable progress in coronary revascularization and the costs of intervention. The advancement in stent technology has made percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) technically feasible in treating most coronary stenosis patients. The resources required to run PCI procedures are still limited to small number of tertiary hospitals in Malaysia.
