The End-Stage Renal Disease ESRD, is one of the diseases fastest growing worldwide turn is classified as a public health problem due to increased morbidity, mortality and represents high costs to the system of health. Moreover, current evidence has shown that cardiovascular risk scales used in the general population, are not fully extrapolated to the group of patients with ESRD and that in several cases the results of the studies have been inconclusive in determining whether there is a increased risk of bleeding or thromboembolic complications.
