PS256 “Influence of Myocardial Perfusion Spect Stress With G- and TC - 99m Sestamibi in Restratification Cardiovascular Risk in Women, Experience in the Central Military Hospital”

Cardiovascular disease in women, in the post menopause is the leading cause of mortality in this group worldwide. There have been numerous efforts to clarify the cardiovascular risk in this group of patients, in order to prevent associated mortality. In the seventies, the CASS study included a total of 5990 female patients with angiographically documented coronary artery disease and found that the use of traditional risk factors has a limited ability to determine the presence of coronary artery disease in this population.
