Remote breath ‐testing device approved for premarket clearance

Last month, the Food and Drug Administration granted 510(k) premarket clearance for the Soberlink Breathalyzer, a real‐time mobile‐breath sobriety technology. The device is for medical use by health care providers to remotely measure alcohol in human breath, for the purpose of aiding in the detection and monitoring of alcohol consumption in those who suffer from alcohol use disorders.
