Reply to Sequence Generation and Allocation Concealment

I would like to thank Dr. Berger for his interest in my article on the evaluation of risk of bias (ROB) in randomized controlled trials (RCTs) (JEBDP 2015 Dec;15(4):164–70). The goal was to provide dental practitioners with basic concepts of how to evaluate ROB in RCTs. I agree with Dr. Berger that computer-generated sequences for randomization are not equally valid; especially the permuted block design discussed in Dr. Berger's letter has been shown to be prone to bias. Nevertheless, Dr. Berger may be exaggerating the significance of this problem.
