Penalized Weighted Least-Squares Approach for Multienergy Computed Tomography Image Reconstruction via Structure Tensor Total Variation Regularization
Multienergy computed tomography (MECT) is an emerging technique, which has the capability in simultaneously providing multiple sets of energy-selective data at specific energy windows (Heismann et al., 2012). The gains of MECT are evident relative to current energy integrating CT in various clinical applications due to its high detection precision and robust material identification ability (Boll et al., 2010; Cormode et al., 2010). Meanwhile, the energy resolution of MECT is highly dependent on the selection of the energy bin width (Leng et al., 2011).
