Diagnostic Immunohistochemistry Through Rosai-Coloured Glasses

It can be reasonably stated that Dr. Juan Rosai has devoted considerable effort during his career to defining and promoting the essential role that immunohistochemistry now plays in the diagnosis of human disease. While a dry assessment of his collected scholarly activity makes the point (fully 122 of his 454 papers indexed in Pub Med are discoverable with the single keyword ‘immunohistochemistry’ – 61 of them included among his 125 papers in Am J Surg Pathol alone), those numbers do not capture the depth and breadth of his contributions to this field.
