Delirium screening in the ICU

Abstract: Acute delirium is a commonly observed syndrome in ICU patients and is associated with poor clinical outcomes. Nurses are uniquely positioned to implement initiatives to improve the quality of delirium monitoring and care. When supported by proper training and team collaboration, delirium screening is a valuable and feasible way for nurses to perform a more comprehensive patient assessment.
