Interestingly Good News…

I got an email from my cable company this morning in that they are going all digital.  I have to set up a time for a technician to come out and hook up my new set top box.  There is no extra charge for this.  This should mean a much improved picture, stereo/surround sound, and signal.  I really don’t know why I am excited as I only watch around 30 minutes of TV per day.   WOW! Cable is Going All Digital!We're excited to announce plans to upgrade our WOW! network in order to deliver more services to our customers in the future. Upon completion the WOW! Cable line up will be delivered in an all-digital format and customers will enjoy access to many more HD channels. We'll also have a foundation from which to deliver even more advanced services in the future, such as higher Internet speeds and interactive television features. The upgrade entails converting most of our WOW! Cable channels from analog to digital. As a result, there will be some changes to how you receive your WOW! Cable. To continue watching your channel lineup uninterrupted, you will need to have a WOW! Digital Adapter or other WOW! digital equipment on every TV you use to watch WOW! Cable. WOW! digital equipment includes: Digital Adapter, Standard Digital Receiver, HD Receiver, DVR, HD DVR or Cable Card.   They stopped by yesterday checking on everybody’s cable internet modems.
