Solid State Drives or SSDs…

Solid state drives have literally transformed computer performance almost overnight.  They’ve been around for years, but no one could afford them with prices well over $1000. As they became more and more mainstream, the prices have precipitously dropped. The one I am getting for my birthday is 250 GB and costs around $150. It will make my blogging computer quite noticeably snappier. Programs will open in an instant. The computer will boot in seconds. The processor is only as fast as the data it receives.
