Primary pericecal internal hernia presenting as acute intestinal obstruction

We report a case of previously healthy 76-year-old male patient presenting with acute intestinal obstruction and who was later diagnosed with primary pericecal internal hernia on exploratory laparotomy. Hernial gate was located along right paracolic gutter around one foot from ileocecal junction.
