CDC Public Health Image Library (PHIL)

Created by a Working Group at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the Public Health Image Library (PHIL) offers an organized, universal electronic gateway to CDC’s pictures. Public health professionals, the media, laboratory scientists, educators, students, and the worldwide public may use this material for reference, teaching, presentation, and public health messages. The content is organized into hierarchical categories of people, places, and science, and is presented as single images, image sets, and multimedia files. Most of the images are in the public domain and are free of any copyright restrictions. If you look directly beneath the image you will see a fair use statement that tells you if the image is public domain or copyright protected.
