Contrast Enhanced Ultrasound of Focal Liver Lesions

Focal liver lesions (FLL) are one of the most frequently diagnosed liver pathologies.1 Their detection and characterization forms a major part of referral work in day-to-day radiology practice. FLL may present with symptoms but are very often picked up on routine ultrasound in asymptomatic patients. In patients with known neoplasms anywhere in the body or in those with liver cirrhosis, they are often detected as a part of surveillance. It is imperative to characterize these lesions to decide further management.
