Weigh in on pressing health care issues by June 5

How do you think the practice of medicine should be improved in the United States? Share your thoughts on important health care topics—and have a chance to shape AMA policy—via the AMA Online Member Forums (log in). They’re now open in advance of the 2016 AMA Annual Meeting, taking place June 11-15 in Chicago. Online forums allow AMA members to weigh in on key policy issues facing medicine at the convenience of their own schedules. By participating in the forums, you can add your voice to the AMA policy discussion from your home, at your office or on the go. Resolutions and reports up for discussion at the 2016 AMA Annual Meeting address such topics as: Measuring and improving access to care for patients Addressing the availability of addiction treatment centers Reducing gun violence Improving the safety of drinking water Increasing the number of residency positions available to train doctors for practice Reducing barriers to preventive and routine physical and mental health care for physicians in training All items of business from initial reports and resolutions for this policymaking meeting are posted in the forums, which are sorted by reference committee.
