STFM Seminar Pioneering an Enhanced Geriatric Curriculum Purpose: An interactive session about an innovative educational, administrative, research, career development, or clinical topic. Active audience participation beyond question and answer is required. Time: 60 minutes Submission Abstract (1250 character limit) In your answer to the question below please briefly describe the content of the presentation so that the reviewer can understand what subject matter participants will be exposed to during the session. With recent updates in ACGME guidelines, a new IM/FM Geriatrics Competencies Working Group and a growing geriatric population, programs must enhance training components for family physicians to be prepared to work with the geriatric population. Successful models are built on creatively developing components specific to your institution and generating buy-in from all stakeholders. This session will lead participants through innovative adoption and implementation of research-based knowledge while developing geriatric training at their site.
