Ten Minutes to Teach, Ten Minutes to Learn: Presenting So Learners Get It and You Love It! (Brenda Wilson BS)

This session will give attendees several tips for being more confident, more relaxed and more effective when presenting whether to a small group of learners in morning report, didactic sessions for medium sized groups or large lecture hall presentations. Faculty get charged by seeing the light bulbs go on when learners really "get it". The session will increase that charge by: 1. Letting the audience experience how small physical changes can net big benefits for calming nerves, giving breath support and connecting with the audience; 2. Having participants reflect and discuss the training map approach structuring presentations. 3. Discussing a faculty development method calling micro-teaching that can become a staple in faculty meetings or retreats.
