Activation of β‐adrenergic receptors in rat visual cortex expands astrocytic processes and reduces extracellular space volume

This study implies that βAR‐induced shrinkage of ECS increases the concentration of neuroactive substances, thereby impacting neuronal communication, neuron‐glia interactions, and processing of sensory information in the visual cortex during global release of norepinephrine.
