Dr. Shoshara just returned from leading a week-long medical mission trip serving Syrian refugees in Jordan for the Syrian American Medical Society (SAMS).  For 6 days, Dr. Shoshara led a team of over 60 physicians who cared for Syrian refugees all across the country.  In total, his team treated over 6,000 patients.  Among them, his team’s surgeons provided needed reconstructive surgeries to 34 refugees, and their cardiologists provided 39 cardiac catheterizations to refugees with critical heart disease.  We at Pediatric Health Associates salute the service of our physicians to patients across the world. For those interested in finding out more about the medical needs of Syrian refugees, or to help Dr. Shoshara in his work, please check out SAMS’ website at www.sams-usa.net.       ***************************************************************************************** Consider giving your kids an opportunity to have a better understanding of the difficulties refugees encounter.  Register for the World Vision Experience held Saturday April 16th through Monday April 18th at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church located at 1310 Shepherd Drive in Naperville. For 20 minutes you will take a journey through the poverty and despair people in Syria and Africa live with while experiencing the joy and hope of knowing there is a higher power even in the most unlikely of places…a brothel!Parental discretion is advised ...
