Study finds young adults misusing ADHD stimulant medications on the rise

The number of young adults misusing methylphenidates and dextroamphetamine‐amphetamine is increasing, along with a sharp increase in emergency department (ED) visits related to the medications, say researchers. Prescriptions for the stimulant have remained unchanged, they said.
