Cellullar neurothekeoma of the larynx in a child: case report and literature review

The present article is a case report of a cellular neurothekeoma (CN) compromising laryngeal structures and resulting in subglottic obstruction.A six-year-old female patient presented to the emergency department with stridor, dyspnea and hoarseness. The awake flexible fiberoptic laryngoscopy revealed a subglottic lesion with a partial airway obstruction. The lesion was endoscopically excised. Histological and imunohistochemical analysis were compatible with CN. Patient remained asymptomatic, after 2 years of follow up.
