Review of article: Systematic review of compression following treatment for varicose veins by J. El-Sheikha, D. Carradice, S. Nandhra, et al (BJS 2015; 102: 719–725)

According to the investigators, it is a common practice to implement limb compression after varicose vein treatment to facilitate with successful target vein occlusion, reduce pain, swelling, and bruising. The aim of the study was to identify the evidence for best practice regarding the optimal type and duration of compression after treatment for varicose veins.
