Slurping a Large Chocolate Shake…

I managed to sit through what would normally be called a “chick flick” today. In all seriousness, though, About Last Night was a decently good movie.  I enjoyed it and so did my mother. I just felt a slight bit uncomfortable in the several graphic sex scenes, but it was a romantic comedy with an R rating so that should have been expected. I took mom wherever she wanted to go today.  We ate supper at the Chic-fil-a and had a dessert at Sonic. Mom then wanted to go to the bookstore so we drove over to Books-a-Million where my mother proceeded to find $50 in books she wants to read. All-in-all, the trip was a success. I also had the good forethought to get a grilled chicken sandwich for the Mag-Dawg and gave her the chicken breast out of the sandwich to eat.  You would've have thought that she had won the Georgia lottery. Mom can be best described as frail these days.  Today she was walking with a cane – something she never did before her back surgery.  Compounded with my mother’s recent weight gain all of this makes it hard for mom to get around. I was hyper vigilant today making sure she wouldn’t have a mishap or even worse, a fall.
