Residents and Fellows Encouraged to Apply for Radiology Leadership Institute Summit Scholarships

Reston, VA — Radiology residents and fellows wanting to understand the business of health care and develop thriving practices in new payment and delivery models may apply for scholarships to attend the 2016 Radiology Leadership Institute® (RLI) Summit. “Leading Value Creation — Personal and Organizational” to be held Sept. 8–11 at Babson College in Wellesley, MA. “At the RLI Summit, young physicians will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of cutting-edge training sessions where they will be able to work with both their peers as well as with mid-career radiologists and senior leaders to examine the business trends driving health care change and learn how to position themselves and their future practices for continued success,” said Frank J. Lexa, MD, MBA, RLI chief medical officer and chair of the American College of Radiology Commission on Leadership and Practice Development. “Sessions, focused on bridging the gap between medicine and management, are hosted by experts and facilitators and follow an interactive format at the four-day meeting,” he added. Scholarships will cover the cost of registration, lodging and travel for recipients to attend the Summit. Applicants are required to be ACR members-in-training, enrolled in the RLI and current residents or fellows in an Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) program.
