Evaluation of [11C]TAZA for amyloid β plaque imaging in postmortem human Alzheimer's disease brain region and whole body distribution in rodent PET/CT
Conclusion: [11C]TAZA exhibited high binding to Aβ plaques in human AD hippocampus. Rat brain kinetics was slow and peripheral binding to IBAT needs to be further evaluated. Synapse, 2016. © 2016 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
[11C]TAZA exhibited high binding to Aβ plaques in human AD hippocampus with grey matter to white matter ratios >20 with little binding in normal controls. Rat brain kinetics was slow but plateaued in 60 min. Peripheral binding in the rats to brown adipose tissue was observed.
