Evaluation of [11C]TAZA for amyloid β plaque imaging in post‐mortem human alzheimer's disease brain region and whole body distribution in Rodent PET/CT

Conclusion: [11C]TAZA exhibited high binding to Aβ plaques in human AD hippocampus. Rat brain kinetics were slow and peripheral binding to IBAT needs to be further evaluated. Rat brain kinetics was slow but plateaued in 60 minutes. Peripheral binding in the rats to brown adipose tissue was observed.
