Comment on “Serum magnesium and not vitamin D is associated with better QoL in COPD: A cross-sectional study”
Dr. Hashim Ali Hussein et al have recently published a manuscript concerning serum levels of different micronutrients in relation to lung function and health related quality of life in patients with COPD [1]. This is a relevant topic since COPD is a heterogeneous disease and it has been reported that the dietary quality of many COPD patients is poor [2]. The authors concluded that most patients have sufficient vitamin D (VD), calcium and magnesium levels, and that none of these are related to lung function.
