Induced Labor in Sweden, 1999–2012: A Population‐Based Cohort Study
ConclusionsThe proportion of induced labors increased substantially during the 14‐year study period and was associated with an increased risk of both cesarean delivery and vacuum extraction, even in women without a documented medical complication. The increased risk of instrumental delivery should be taken into account when counseling about the risks and benefits of induced labor.
