Anthracycline-induced acute myocarditis

Chassagne Anthracyclines are used to treat solid and haematological malignancies. Anthracyclines’ cardiac toxicity has been demonstrated for more than 40 years mainly as progressive heart failure that may occur far from the drug intake. In less than 1% of all cases, anthracyclines are responsible for acute myocarditis-like syndromes.
