Publication date: Available online 12 December 2015 Source:Apollo Medicine Author(s): Bhavani Myla, Jaya Bhaskar Reddy Sangireddy, Vamshaj Raja Sangam, Supraj Raja Sangam Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma of the oral cavity is unusual. Lymphoma occurring in the extranodal site of the tongue is even scarce. Oral lymphomas are located more frequently in the gingival vestibule and Waldeyer's ring. Buccal mucosa is rarely involved. Initial manifestations of oral lesions of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma are very rare. We received a biopsy from a 78-year-old male presented with an ulcerated lesion involving the base of the tongue. Proper clinical evaluation, histopathology, and immunohistochemical (IHC) evaluation of the biopsy aided the diagnosis.
