The radiographs of the knee revealed multiple loose bodies in the knee giving a picture of multiple “stones” in the knee. The patient was diagnosed as a case of synovial chondromatosis. Synovial chondromatosis is a rare, benign condition of the joints wherein the synovium grows abnormally and produces cartilage which may finally break off from the synovium and become loose bodies in the knee. The diagnosis is usually on the basis of clinico-radiologic findings and clinician awareness and high index of suspicion usually clinch the diagnosis.
