December 6 - Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women

December 6 is a day of national tragedy in Canada. Twenty-six years ago, 14 women at l'École Polytechnique de Montréal were violently killed because they were women. I join all Canadians today, in solemnly remembering these women and the survivors from this tragedy, on what is now known as the Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women.
