Does lidocaine 10% spray reduce pain during intrauterine contraceptive device insertion? a pilot randomized controlled clinical trial

Conclusion: Application of 20 mg of 10% lidocaine spray to the cervix 10 min before IUCD insertion is an effective way to decrease the pain associated with grasping and traction of the cervix with a tenaculum.
