The 1000 Genomes Project

In this month's The Genomics Landscape, I highlight the 1000 Genomes Project, which came to a close last month. At its conclusion, the 1000 Genomes Project cataloged more than 99 percent of all common - and many rare - human genomic variants. In November we also celebrate National Family History Day on Thanksgiving, a tradition at NHGRI and for the U.S. Surgeon General, and welcome a new investigator to NHGRI's intramural program.
