However, when the orthopedic surgeon is faced with displaced proximal humeral fractures that require surgery technical challenges often frustrate even the most talented of surgeons. This manuscript is designed to provide a methodical, easy-to-reproduce roadmap for surgeons to simplify this complicated procedure. Specific attention is paid to real-life, low-cost pearls and keys to avoiding pitfalls to maximize patient outcome and minimize surgeon frustration.
