ASCO 2015 Update on Melanoma

The American Society of Clinical Oncology 2015 annual meeting provided important updates on the medical and surgical treatment of melanoma that included new information on the use of T cell checkpoint inhibitors and BRAF inhibitors in the therapy of advanced disease as well as new information pertaining to the efficacy of surgical resection in early stage disease. While a large number of presentations were made in the field of melanoma this year, the following discussion will focus on some of the more impactful studies that were presented.
