The effectiveness of lifestyle intervention in early pregnancy to prevent Gestational Diabetes Mellitus in Chinese overweight and obese women: A quasi-experimental study

Gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) is one of the most common complications of pregnancy and is associated with substantially elevated risk of adverse health outcomes for both mothers and offspring. This quasi-experimental trial was conducted to assess whether a lifestyle intervention in early pregnancy can reduce the incidence of GDM and excessive gestational weight (GWG) gain among Chinese overweight women.
