Resolutions

While the rest of the world celebrates the New Year on January 1st, educators tend to celebrate the start of a new year on the first day of the fall semester. For many of us, back to school shopping is a cherished tradition. I know that when I was a clinical instructor, I would purchase a new pair of shoes, scrubs, or laboratory coat. Something new, whether it is a pen, notebook, or backpack, makes us feel optimistic and excited. It signifies opportunity and change. We believe that all the problems and issues from the previous semester are wiped clean and that we have the chance to start fresh.
