ImpactStory.org: Tell a Detailed Story of Your Research

Citation analysis has been the gold standard for assessing the impact of scholarly research. With the emergence of social media, citation analysis is being challenged as researchers look for new ways to share and tell a detailed story of their research. One new approach is using ImpactStory.org, where researchers can easily create a free profile by importing their citations from various knowledge-based resources such as PubMed, Google Scholar and Orchid. The site will indicate which articles are: Highly cited Highly saved Highly discussed Sample profile: Another company, Growkudos.com, will also help with distributing and sharing your research. They plan to launch in April 2014 and you can sign up now to be notified via email of their launch date. And don’t forget, the Jefferson Digital Commons can help promote your research to a global audience. Contact dan.kipnis@jefferson.edu with your questions about the JDC.
