Chronic maternal morphine alters calbindin D‐28k expression pattern in postnatal mouse brain

Daily injection of morphine in adult female mice before mating, during pregnancy and lactation period decreases, in a dose dependent way, the number of Calbindin D‐28k‐immunoreactive neurons in the cingulate and parietal cortical regions (layers II‐IV) and in the hyppocampal granular cells of postnatal mice (P18).
