Patients suffering from chronic liver diseases are at a severe risk from complications such as hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and liver failure [1]. In the diagnosis and therapeutic assessment of cirrhosis of the liver and chronic hepatitis, it is necessary to stage the degree of hepatic fibrosis as an important indicator of cirrhosis as well as a critical predictive factor for the occurrence of HCC [2], which is one of the most common malignancies in patients that are affected by these diseases [3].
