Association of aldosterone synthase (CYP11B2) gene polymorphism with IgA nephropathy risk and progression of IgA nephropathy

Conclusion:
CYP11B2-344C/T gene polymorphism is not associated with IgAN risk and IgAN progression in overall populations and in Asians, but CYP11B2 C allele and CC genotype were associated with the risk of IgAN in Caucasians. However, more studies should be performed in the future to confirm this association.
