Mature student in Scotland 2:2 degree....need advice

Hi guys. I graduated in 2009 with a LLB (Honours) degree with a 2:2; which was disappointing but given that I had been a very serious accident in my 1st year of uni (that left me three months in hospital and with permanent health problems as a result) had endured a lot of invasive surgery and pain; I thought that it was still a solid degree and a solid achievement. Regrettably it would appear that this is a sentiment not shared by medical schools, and the reason for this is that it would seem that they only consider your 1st degree and nothing else. That is their perogative and although this is frustrating and disappointing, I would hate for anyone to think I am "ragging on" the med schools or sounding spiteful or hard done by. Not my intention, at all. Given that my previous study was all humanities based (because I studied law) I had no science background or qualifications at all. Last year, I attended college and sat Higher Maths, Biology and Chemistry. This September, I will start a HNC in Applied Sciences. My rationale now is to aim for a second UG degree; preferably pharmacy though I am open to other possibilities. Aim for a 2:1 or god willing, a 1st class. 1) By virtue of my previous degree, I am also ineligible for SWAP and Access to medicine courses such as the sort offered at Stow and Perth college.
