Psychiatric sequel of repeated pediatric general anesthesia
Conclusion: Young pediatric patients undergoing repeated surgical procedures under general anesthesia are more likely to have subsequent behavioral and emotional disturbances. Proper perioperative pain management, psychological counseling, and social support could minimize these untoward consequences.
