Prevalence of Eosinophilia in Hospitalized Patients with Asthma Exacerbation

Recent studies have identified the “eosinophilic phenotype” of asthma that is characterized by persistent eosinophilic inflammation and frequent exacerbations. However, the prevalence of eosinophilia in patients hospitalized for asthma exacerbation is not known.
