The Tweets Have Been Tallied and We Want to Say Thanks!

Thank you to the many IMF social media followers who participated in the #DiscoverMyeloma campaign on Twitter, and of course, a big thanks to everyone at Takeda for their generous $30,000 donation! Takeda Oncology, a division of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company, ran a social media fundraising and awareness drive in March during Myeloma Awareness month, pledging $5 to the IMF for every tweet sent using the hashtag #DiscoverMyeloma. Well, the Tweets have been counted and there were 6,000 tweets (!) spreading the word, facts and resources about the fight against myeloma! “We're so grateful to all for their daily participation and help in driving further awareness about myeloma with the larger community,” said Robin Tuohy, Senior Director of Support Groups for the IMF. “Now thanks to the combined efforts of each individual and the generosity of Takeda, the IMF has a wonderful donation to help us continue our mission to find a cure.”
