Starting FY1 17 weeks pregnant

Hi, I've passed my finals and got the FY1 and last week I found out I was pregnant. My husband and I are over the moon as we've been wanting to start a family for a couple of years now (I'm a mature student). But now I don't know whether I should inform my Foundation School beforehand or not. Ideally I would like to do my first rotation and go on maternity leave for about 7 months, which would take me to August next year. When starting my first rotation I would be 17 weeks and according to the law I have to inform the employer by 24th week. What are people's thoughts on this? Do you think the foundation school would stop me from starting the job and would encourage me to defer? thanks for your advice! Rachael
