Scopus Adds Books and Book Chapters

Scopus began adding references to books and book chapters last year. Their blog post describes why they chose to add book content and how they are prioritizing selection. By the end of 2013, they had added 17,500 of the 75,000 books planned for the project. This content joins the tens of millions of journal article and conference paper records that Jeffersonians regularly search in Scopus. Jefferson faculty should take a moment to verify the accuracy of their author profiles, which feed the publication lists on the Jefferson.edu site. Scopus provides several ways to find book content. Use the Document Type limit on the Document Search pages. Or, on the Advanced Search page, use the document types (DOCTYPE) bk and ch to search for books and book chapters, respectively. Or limit to books or book chapters on a results page.
