Revised Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) Section of the Adult and Adolescent Opportunistic Infection (OI) Guidelines Released
The Hepatitis B Virus (HBV) section in the Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Opportunistic Infections in HIV-Infected Adults and Adolescents was updated on April 16, 2015.
There is new information on techniques to evaluate the stage of liver fibrosis. New data on HBV immunization regimens is included in recommendations regarding the choice of the optimal immunization regimen. There are also new recommendations regarding the duration of anti-HBV therapy following initiation of ART.
