The professional nurse–student nurse academic partnership
This study evaluated a clinical pedagogy created through an academic partnership which included a major urban hospital, a university school of nursing, and a diploma school of nursing. In this model, professional staff nurses became actively involved in clinical teaching. Results were seen in elevated levels of the nurses' self-confidence and in student-perceived satisfaction with the learning environment.
